TOTAL Upgrades to PipelineManager (FUKA Upgrade)

PipelineManager established as the primary system to forecast the arrival specification of gas.

Energy Solutions International, Inc. (ESI), a world-leading supplier of software solutions for oil and gas pipelines, announced today that TOTAL has selected PipelineManager® for the upgrade of the FUKA Pipeline Management System.

The PipelineManager solution provides the St. Fergus Control Room with a dynamic compositional model of the FUKA pipeline. PipelineManager allows the Control Room to forecast the arrival specification of gas. PipelineManager performs key functions for Total:

• A safety function, through monitoring of the pipeline High Pressure/Low Pressure interface.
• Allows operational team to run ‘What-if’ Scenarios to optimize inventory and pipeline performance.
• Provides a system that will be capable of expanding with TOTAL’s requirements beyond 2014 to include the SIRGE Tie-in for the new West of Shetland operational hub.
