Business Analyst – Houston, TX

This is a hands-on position where the analyst will work directly with a client and internal resources to lead the business analysis, design & testing of technology solutions to our application suite. The analyst will create & enforce project specific standards, coordinate required change requests, work to standardize implementation procedures and practices, augment and enhance our software solutions, as well as estimate level of effort for initiatives.  The candidate must be a self starter and able to work independently.

Core Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
  • Ability to communicate with clients & the rest of the internal team (oral, written & visual)
  • Experience in customer requirements gathering and requirements management
  • Understand contractual obligations for project commitment
  • Assist in project plan development
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint & MS Project

Sales Director – Middle East, Dubai

The Sales Director in Dubai is responsible for management of sales of the company’s products and services to clients in the Middle East and Africa.  The Sales Director reports to the Vice President of Global Sales.

Experience and Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years work experience within the technology, software and/or pipeline sales arena, with a proven sales track record of accurately forecasting and consistently delivering revenue
  • Solid experience building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written); ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations
  • Ability and desire to travel extensively within the Middle East and Africa
  • Experience selling software and technology into the oil and gas market
  • Degree in an engineering discipline, business, computer science or mathematics
  • A high standard of written and spoken English

Detailed Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Make cold calls and sales visits to clients and prospects.  Follow up on all sales inquiries
  • Provide support to the Sales Agents on sales inquiries and act as their focal point
  • Understand and be able to communicate the benefits of software technology to Director, VP and C levels within the pipeline industry
  • Have a working knowledge of competitive products and the unique value of our solutions
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for clients as necessary either alone or working with sales agents
  • Maintain sales/marketing database with client information
  • Write proposals, sales contracts, leases, evaluation, and maintenance agreements related to the products and services offerings
  • Provides follow up with new clients, including information on new product releases, and selling training and support services

Project Engineer – International

In this position, you will configure, install, and fine tune Energy Solutions’ pipeline modeling software. You will create and enforce project specific standards, augment and enhance our solutions, benchmark individual and application performance metrics as well as estimate level of effort for initiatives. Must be a self starter and able to work independently but have the ability to lead a team of engineers both in the office and at off-shore locations.

Core Skills

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a physical science
  • Experience in pipeline design or operations
  • Knowledge of software systems applications
  • Experience in pipeline hydraulics
  • Experience with SCADA systems, instrumentation, and process control
  • Ability to communicate with the clients and the rest of the team (oral, written & visual)
  • Software Resource estimation, project work breakdown planning, and tracking progress to milestones.

Experienced energy sector executive to lead growing Houston-based software company

Energy Solutions International (ESI) is delighted to announce that Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) has decided to expand their deployment of PipelineStudio. GSPL originally deployed PipelineStudio back in 2004. Recently a GSPL led consortium has been awarded a contract from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for the installation of three cross-country gas pipelines approximately 3800 Km long. PipelineStudio will be used in the hydraulic analysis and design of these Pipelines.

HK Electric provides world-class performance in the business of electricity generation, transmission, distribution and sales in Hong Kong. In the mid-1990s, HK Electric identified the need for building a new extension to its power station in Lamma to cope with the growth of Hong Kong as it entered the 21st Century. To minimize the environmental impacts of the new generating facilities, the Company decided to adopt the gas-fired combined cycle technology for the extension.

Located at a reclaimed site of 22-hectares south of the Lamma Power Station (LPS), the extension was planned to have six gas-fired combined cycle units with a total generating capacity of 1,800 MW. The first 335 MW gas-fired combined cycle unit was synchronized in July 2006 and started its commercial operation in October 2006, bringing the total installed capacity of Lamma Power Station to 3,736MW.
