EnergySolutions Releases PipelineStudio® 2.8

Energy Solutions International, the Houston-based leading global supplier of oil and gas pipeline management software, today announced a new release of its industry-leading pipeline engineering and design product, PipelineStudio®, which helps pipeline companies reduce operating costs through proven steady-state and transient hydraulic modeling.
Version 2.8 of PipelineStudio, available for general release starting today, offers rich reporting functionality, including allowing users to view simulation results in Microsoft Excel and to configure their own report templates. In addition, PipelineStudio is now easier to use with its new pipeline configuration template feature.

“Users can now pick from a pre-defined set of standard templates and eliminate several steps in setting up pipeline designs,” said Jon Barley, PipelineStudio development manager and chief architect. “They also can create, save and re-use their own standard templates. This feature will benefit both new users and experts, enabling them to get new projects going quickly. “

Other PipelineStudio 2.8 features include: greater flexibility in heating value calculation; enhanced thermal modelling though variable ambient temperature and ambient medium velocities; expanded fluid component library; and much more. In addition, PipelineStudio integrates with EnergySolutions’ PipelineManager(R), the real-time online pipeline monitoring system, for a consistent view of the pipeline network.
