Energy Solutions International Names New Vice President of Marketing and Product Management

Houston, Texas (April 20, 2010) – Energy Solutions International, Inc. (ESI), a world-leading supplier of software solutions that optimize operational and commercial performance of oil and gas pipelines, announces the promotion of Juan Seriñá to vice president of marketing and product management, effective immediately. An employee since 1995, Mr. Seriñá has served ESI as both project manager and technical leader on multiple global deployments of the company's pipeline simulation systems.

"Juan's technical expertise, product knowledge, and experience working closely with our customers makes him uniquely qualified to lead our marketing and product management efforts," said Dr. Jo Webber, chief executive officer at ESI. "His skills will enable him not only to work with our existing customers to keep ESI solutions at the forefront of meeting industry needs, but also in introducing the benefits of our software and service to new customers."

Mr. Seriñá served ESI most recently as Technical Projects Director, coordinating all simulation projects worldwide. He was the development manager for VisualPipeline®, the graphical user interface for ESI's market-leading PipelineManager® software, and lead engineer on the implementation of multiple global deployments. Prior to joining ESI, Juan worked for Controles Texas S.A., in Caracas, Venezuela. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and has published articles for the Pipeline Simulation Interest Group and Middle East Pipeline Conference.
